Bikepark Leogang - the challenge
The bike region Saalfelden Leogang and the Bikepark Leogang received the accolade by hosting the UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championship. Sensational competitions and thousands of enthusiastic spectators made this event an absolute mountain bike FEST! You too can test the world championship routes at the highest level or rather single trail, freeride or North Shore! There is something for everyone here, beginners and professionals will find the right challenge on the 9 different routes!
Pump track and trial park course in Saalfelden
A pump track is a specially created mountain bike route. The aim is to build up speed by pushing your body up on the bike. A pump track is usually made of earth or clay as a circuit.
The bike trail, which is about one meter wide, has waves and other elements such as banked curves or jumps. It can be ridden in either direction as it is built on flat terrain. The difficulty results from the speed of the rider and it can be ridden with any mountain bike.
The pump track is intended as a training area and enables a very playful riding experience.
Kiddy Park Saalfelden
Now Saalfelden Leogang is increasingly focusing on the next generation and with the Kids Mini Bike Park and the Bikepalast - Saalfelden Kiddy Park has managed to put family friendliness right at the top.
Right next to the sun terrace of the Gasthaus Hinterburgstub'n at the valley station of the Biberg lift in Saalfelden is located the Sport Simon Kiddy Park, designed by the company Bergkraft in 2012.
Here the children have free bikes available with which they can overcome a wide variety of obstacles such as wooden bridges and sharp bends. In addition, the little ones at the Hinterburgstub'n also look forward to a great playground and the 1.6 km long summer toboggan run.
